DENISE SANTOS FORD



director



Denise Santos Ford is the founder and director of SPEECH, Marin. Her career in speech - language pathology began in high school when she worked as a peer mentor in a socialization program for developmentally disordered adolescents. She attended Texas Christian University and received her B.S. in Habilitation of the Deaf. Denise then taught pre - school, kindergarten and elementary school grades as a teacher of the deaf. She then attended the University of the Pacific, receiving her masters in speech and language pathology. Denise has a strong background in working with apraxia, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, hearing impairments and language disorders. She is skilled in management and execution of social pragmatic language groups as well. Denise assisted in the development of our comprehensive reading program, READ Ink.



JEANNIE WONG



SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST



Jeannie Wong is an associate speech - language pathologist at SPEECH, Marin. Initially she taught 2nd and 4th grade at a private school in San Francisco. Her passion of education lead her to dive deeper into communication and language. She received her B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology at CSU East Bay. She received her M.A. in Speech Pathology at San Jose State University. Jeannie has a calming approach to therapy and easily builds strong rapport with children of all ages. Her knowledge of elementary school curriculum is a great asset for our school aged children.

Emma Pate is an associate speech - language pathologist at SPEECH, Marin. Emma comes to us from working as a school SLP. Emma attended both undergraduate and graduate school at Texas Tech University where she received a B.S. Speech and Hearing Sciences and an M.S. Speech and Language Pathology. Her experience in the hospital has given her good experience in the treatment of swallowing/feeding disorders. Emma's knowledge of the school system and IEP's is a fabulous resource to our families. She has an upbeat personality that the children love and her professional demeanor is easy for parents to relate with.

Katherine "Kat" Monjello is an associate speech - language pathologist at SPEECH, Marin. Before receiving her masters degree in communication disorders at Cal State East Bay, Kat taught at one of the leading private female lower schools in San Francisco. She is versed in the treatment of language disorders and has a particular bond with young children. Kat's experience at the lower school level gives her a real connection to classroom expectations.

Elizabeth Dokko is an associate speech - language pathologist at SPEECH, Marin. Elizabeth has a two masters degrees. She is a speech therapist and learning disabilities specialist who has strong clinical knowledge.



MARISSA FORREST

Marissa Forrest is an associate speech - language pathologist at SPEECH, Marin. Marissa grew up exposed to speech - language pathology as a daughter of an SLP. She received her masters degree in communications disorders at Cal State Chico. Her enthusiasm and dedication motivate children to engage at their highest potential. Marissa's easy going nature allows her to treat a multitude of disorders.
